1. delivery:
We do not ship on certain public holidays. We can only fulfill the delivery of an order if the delivery address is a home or office located in one of the countries mentioned in the list of countries available in the Delivery and Shipping Costs menu. To receive the package, you need to make sure that someone is at the address. This service does not include a scheduling or appointment option, so the order will be delivered without prior contact from the carrier. We do not guarantee normal delivery times during promotional periods, sales, Christmas or stock-outs.
A delivery is deemed to have been made or a product is deemed to have been delivered when the delivery receipt is signed at the agreed address.
2. Delivery deadlines:
If you confirm your order on a working day by 12 noon and pay by the respective means of payment, your order will be shipped as soon as it is ready in our warehouse, on the next working day (weekends and public holidays are not considered working days). If you choose to pay by ATM reference, shipping is less efficient, as we will only ship once we have received payment. Delivery can take between 2 and 7 working days for mainland Portugal.
The “Seller” shall not be liable for failure to perform, or delay in performing, any obligation that is due to a force majeure event, i.e. an event, act or omission beyond its reasonable control (Force Majeure Event – which comprises any event, act or omission beyond the reasonable control of the “Seller”).
We will try to deliver on time, as far as is commercially reasonable. As a rule, we always do this, but we cannot guarantee timely delivery.
3. Partial Deliveries:
Whenever possible, we will try to deliver everything in just one shipment. However, we reserve the right to split the delivery of the order, for example (but not limited to) if a part of the order is delayed or unavailable. In the event that we split the order, the customer will be notified by e-mail of our intention to do so. The e-mail address provided by the customer at the time of purchase will be used for this purpose.
4. Inspection at the time of delivery:
Upon delivery, the customer must inspect the packaging for any damage. If the products are found to be damaged, the customer must not accept delivery of the order, which will be returned. Portugal Wine Castes will analyze the non-conforming products and, based on the results obtained, will accept the return or not. In the case of non-conforming products, the company will reimburse the amounts paid for the order and transportation as soon as the warehouse receives and completes the return process, or will assign a credit taking into account the value of the product, to be used later when purchasing any other product marketed by Portugal Wine Castes. You must inspect the products within a reasonable time after receiving the order. We shall be deemed to have accepted the products unless you notify us within 30 days of receipt of the products to be rejected.
