• Tasting notes: Exuberant, powerful and fresh nose of blackcurrant and cherry. Finesse, elegance and balance with a linear thrust of wild berries, nuances of plum and a touch of citrus and quince. This dense background is overlaid by a lovely grapey freshness that intensifies as the aroma develops. The floral aromas, characteristic of Vargellas, are present, with scents of violet intertwined with delicate notes of flowers and herbs. A wave of clean red fruit runs through the palate from start to finish. The tannins are firm but well integrated, providing plenty of grip and an attractive touch of austerity. Deep purple almost black with a narrow magenta rim.
